Workshop / Modern and Post-Modern techniques
January 23rd | 1:00 – 4:00 PM
Berkshire Pulse Studios
420 Park Street | Housatonic, MA
Pardo will lead a 3hr workshop exploring different aspects of Modern and Post-Modern techniques. The workshop will begin with a Modern class exploring space, authenticity in movement, and the integration of technique into an organic movement sensibility. After the warm-up class, we will explore a few post-modern compositional elements focusing mainly on the use of movement scores. The workshop will culminate in the creation of our own unique compositions.
Life.Long – solo by Matt Pardo
Matt choreographed this in the old Berkshire Pulse studios! I have performed it countless times, both in the states and abroad. Every time Matt performs it he thinks of the sunlight in that old 2nd floor studio of Berkshire Pulse.
This particular performance is at the Boston Contemporary Dance Festival in 2013.
