BerkshirePulse now has it very own YouTube channel! We are just beginning to add in video… beginning with some Salsa with our fabulous Latin dance instructor Yezid Valdez demonstrating with Peggy Feala some moves you would learn in his class on Friday nights at Pulse 6:45 – 8pm. He joined the faculty of Community Dances at Berkshire Pulse shortly after the studio opened in 2003. ZUMBA tonight @ Pulse – 6:30 with Lindsey Berkowitz. Great class – fun music! A little Salsa, Pop, Bollywood, Hip-Hop, and more. if you like to dance you will love this class. Its a total workout – you will feel every muscle and every joint has had a fair shake. I have been taking this class with Lindsey and so enjoy her creative choreography. No matter what mood I enter with I leave feeling better! Lindsey has lots of music and dance styles all in the one class so it is always fun – never a dull moment. While being creative the dances keep the heart rate up. What I really like about ZUMBA or Lindsey’s class anyway is a nice balance of repetition and new challenges. Her cool down and final stretch finish off the hour with completion. Come in and try a communi

You can see in the background just how much progress we’ve made towards the creation of this exciting new dance space and educational arts center for our community. This picture fills me with pride and hope – pride in all that we have accomplished over the past year, and hope for the future of Berkshire Pulse. All summer long, a construction crew led by David Blacklow was hard at work at 420 Park Street, completing the first phase of construction on our new space. Thanks to the support of many early donors to our “Pulse on the Move” capital campaign, so much has been accomplished – new floors are laid, the walls are framed, and plumbing and electrical work has begun. As you can see from the photo, it looks amazing! We’re two-thirds of the way to reaching our goal, but we need your help to bring the project to completion and meet our opening date in January. Let us know how you can help!
