AFRICAN DANCE SERIES – OPEN LEVEL for ages 14-adult
With Nkoula Badila, live drumming by Angel Lau
We will work on a combination of Central West African + Contemporary dances, getting in touch with our own rhythm and flexibility, and finding a strong foundation in the relationship between the drum and the dance. We will work on unity, coming together to dance as a team, we will highlight grace in our arms and strength in our legs and feet, and we will also work on building our stamina and energy. This is overall a high energy class with moments of cooling down and reflection ~ the goal is to feel free in your body while acknowledging the rhythm of the whole.
