DANCES OF AFRICA for ages 8-12
With Noel Staples-Freeman, Angel Lau accompanying
Focus: This lively class introduces children to the fundamentals of African Dance, emphasizing rhythm, coordination, and expressive movement.
Content: The children will learn traditional and modern African dance techniques. The class focuses on building strong foundational skills, including body alignment, footwork, and rhythm. Children will be encouraged to express themselves while developing coordination and a sense of rhythm, all within a culturally rich and joyful environment.
Wednesdays 4:45-5:45pm

$220 for the full session
*Please note that Dances of Africa is a prerequisite for Jazz classes in Level 2 and up. In order to take Jazz in Level 2, dancers must complete one full year of Dances of Africa. Dancers who took Jazz 1-2 in 2023-2024 are welcome to enroll in Jazz 2-3.
