GIVE FROM YOUR IRA

A tax-free gift

If you are 70.5 years of age or older, you can take advantage of this simple way to support Pulse and receive tax benefits in return. You can donate up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to a qualified charity such as Pulse without having to pay income taxes on these funds.

DONOR ADVISED FUNDS

Tax benefits

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is an investment account for charitable giving that offers an immediate tax benefit and the flexibility to support your preferred charities (such as Pulse!) right away or over time. Advantages to donating via your DAF:

  • Simplicity: Your sponsoring organization handles all record-keeping, disbursements (including an option for automatic distributions), and tax receipts.
  • Timing: You can request that a donation be made to the charity of your choice at any time or make automatic recurring gifts on a schedule of your choice.
  • Flexible funding options: Fund your DAF with the assets of your choice, including cash, stock, securities, and even real estate.

If you are interested in donating to Berkshire Pulse through your DAF, please note that Pulse’s tax ID number is 43-2052204.

EMPLOYER MATCH

Increase your support

Many employers offer matching gift programs in which the company will match charitable contributions made to non-profits by their employees. Some companies even offer to match gifts made by retirees. This is a simple way of doubling or even tripling your support of Pulse!

IN-KIND CONTRIBUTIONS

Another way to give

Cash contributions aren’t the only ways you can show your support of Pulse. We also gladly accept donated items and in-kind services including office furniture and supplies, new and gently-used dancewear, gift certificates to area businesses, hosting a donor event, and more. We will create a tax receipt for the estimated cost of your donated item or service so your gift is still considered 100% tax-deductible.

“I’m proud to support an organization run by the local community, for the local community, that never turns anyone away due to an inability to pay. Being a donor is one small way to make a huge impact.”
