Qualia Dance Collective presents: Chiaroscuro

a new dance work by Fiona Scruggs

August 25th at Chesterwood

Come to the beautiful gardens of Chesterwood and enjoy the outdoor premiere of “Chiaroscuro,” choreographed by Fiona Scruggs. This new work draws on art, mannerisms, and narratives of the Baroque. Through a contemporary lens, this Baroque music and movement study juxtaposes le sacré et le profane, or the sacred and common, with the contrast of light and shadow as defined by chiaroscuro.

“Chiaroscuro” is part of Chesterwood’s Arts Alive! lineup. All proceeds from the ticket sales will go directly towards supporting the artists!

🗓️ Coming August 27th…

TurnPark Art Space presents: CHASM

an evening of immersive dance & sound curated by Fern Katz

August 27th, 4-5pm at TurnPark Art Space

This evening-length performance will include two contemporary dance pieces, live violin, and post-performance Q+A with the artists. In this event, the artists explore grief, loss, reflection, reconciliation, and healing. To learn more, please check out…

Want to support but can’t make the show? There’s a GoFundMe link below! This will go directly to compensating the collaborating artists with performance and travel stipends for all their hard work and dedication to this process. Keep an eye out for some fundraiser Pilates classes led by certified instructor, Fern Katz!
