WEST AFRICAN AND CARIBBEAN DANCE AND DRUM – All Levels, for ages 14-adult
With Joanne DelCarpine, Kim Waterman, and Noel Staples-Freeman
Shake your shoulders, move your hips, play a drum!
Drum, dance and song are all components of the traditional rhythms we teach. Learn a drum and percussion rhythm, sing, and then dance! We’ll learn basic moves that tell a story or just celebrate movement! Moving across the floor, working with drum breaks and putting together choreography. Join us for community and FUN!
Saturdays 2-4pm
January 13, February 10, March 9, April 13, June 8, June 22
All Levels – This class is open to all. Teachers will gauge experience and teach to the level of the group present.
