MODERN 1 for ages 9-12
With Gillian Ebersole
In this class students will build upon the fundamentals of dance technique through the study of traditional Modern Dance principles. Through center practice, exercises across the floor, basic phrase-work, improvisation, and dance-making, students will establish a strong sense of alignment, musicality, physical strength, and the freedom of expression through movement. A conscientious and supportive group experience in a safe and caring environment is emphasized.
Fridays 4-5:30pm
September 12 – December 12
(No class October 31, November 29)
$240 for the full session
If taking Ballet 1 or Modern 1, participation in two classes or more per week is required. Enrollment in Level 1 Ballet or Modern requires placement from Pulse teaching artists and staff.
