MUSICAL THEATER COLLECTIVE for ages 10+
With Chelsea Beatty, Mackenzie Wolcott, Teak Welch, and Wendy Welch, plus guest artists
The Musical Theatre Collective invites young performers to hone their skills and unleash their imaginations through exploration of musical theater repertoire. During each session, the MT Collective students work together as an ensemble, sharing their creativity and knowledge in a highly collaborative setting. The Collective is lead by teaching artists who specialize in musical theatre, as well as visiting guest artists.
MT Collective students engage in a wide range of training across dance, movement, singing, acting, improv, and more. The Collective experience balances skill-building with application, creating space for students to experiment with different techniques and modalities before incorporating them into scene and song work.
The fall semester focuses on the golden age of musical theater, and the spring semester continues into contemporary repertoire. Opportunities for both solo and ensemble performance are offered, and a small class size allows for individualized coaching to support students in achieving their learning goals.
The Musical Theatre Collective is an ideal place for students of all experience levels to build their skills and confidence, and take their turn in the spotlight!
This class culminates in an in-studio showing on May 16.
Saturdays 2-4 PM
January 31 – June 6
(No class February 21 and April 25)
$350 for the full session ($10 performance fee included)
