2026 Winter Intensives
January Choreography Intensive
Saturday, January 17, and Sunday, January 18, from 1-5pm
For dancers ages 12-18 who were enrolled in at least one class at Berkshire Pulse this past year
This two-day immersive experience will connect Berkshire Pulse’s Young Choreographers Program with art created by The Muse. Choreographers will experience a guided tour of selected works by Muse artists. Drawing on the elements of visual art, the choreographers will apply this inspiration to their process of dance-making. Working in small groups or as soloists, they will create work-in-process pieces to be shared at a culminating informal sharing.

Students will reflect on their own family stories – choosing a word or phrase to explore through movement – and learn two original phrases from the 3rd Gen Project show repertoire.
Accompanied live by composer Luke Wygodny, this experience offers participants a window into the company’s creative rehearsal process.
