Heather is a communications expert with experience helping nonprofit, mission-driven organizations operate efficiently and tell their stories well. A longtime team leader in schools, she has also worked as a high school English teacher and an independent consultant, offering editorial strategy, writing, and communications counsel to independent schools and financial services clients. Her work spans award-winning magazines, website redesigns, capital campaigns, and crisis communications, and has earned recognition from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and other organizations.
Early roles at Milton Academy, Wheaton College, the American Red Cross, and Grove/Atlantic Press helped her develop writing, design, and systems fluency. She cares about advancing culture, community, systems, and storytelling. Heather is a graduate of Kenyon College and the Harvard Extension School. She reads cookbooks for fun, travels when she can, and searches for overlooked objects in thrift stores. She moved to the Berkshires in 2026 and is excited to contribute to the extraordinary work and mission of Berkshire Pulse.
