In class we will explore dances from Central and West Africa , aiming to connect to the depth and intentions of these movements that tell a story and bring us closer to the earth, the elements, and all in nature that mirrors the connection to our bodies.
We will move at a beginner’s pace, learning body isolation techniques and their connection to traditional songs that express the full representation of these dances. All in all, we will engage our whole bodies in collective coordination, making for a wholesome body experience.

Wednesdays, 6–7 p.m.
September 16th – December 16th

(No class November 11th or November 25th)

All Levels – Anyone who self-identifies in any of the above levels will enjoy these classes! Teachers will gauge experience and teach to the level of the group present.
